Waveguide Quantum ElectroDynamics (QED) is an emerging area of quantum optics that investigates the coherent coupling between one or more quantum emitters and a photonic waveguide or, more generally, an engineered photonic bath.
The workshop aims at bringing together major experts working on this topic. This is the third edition of WQED workshops series. The first two editions were held in 2018 and 2021.
Scientific Organizing Committee:
Francesco Ciccarello (NEST, Istituto Nanoscienze-CNR & University of Palermo)
Harold U. Baranger (Duke University, USA)
Peter Rabl (TU Munich / Walther-Meißner-Institute, Germany)
Darrick Chang (ICFO, Spain)
Local Organizer: Marcel A. Pinto (U Palermo)
The workshop will be held at Ettore Majorana Foundation and Centre for Scientific Culture, Erice, Italy. WQED23 will have the standard format of a conference, featuring both talks and posters. As usual workshops or conferences hosted by the Majorana Centre, WQED23 will - formally - be a "course" within the framework of the "School of Non-equilibrium Phenomena" having as directors Alessandra Lanzara (Berkeley), Massimo Palma (U Palermo) and Bernardo Spagnolo (U Palermo).
We welcome applications for contributed posters/talks.
